NaruSaku prom night.

It was a bright and shiny day in the leaf village, School had just let out and everyone was talking about this upcoming prom. All the girls were very excited for it despite the fact that the rules say the girl has to ask the guy. Ino, Hinata, Tenten, Temari and Sakura were all gathered around the school gate talking.

“I’m so excited for this prom! I went shopping one day and I found the perfect dress, but it was way expensive but I have enough for it now” Ino announced

“That’s great Ino! So do you already know who you’re going to prom with” Hinata asked with a gentle smile

Ino looked away from the girls and a small embarrassed blush warmed her cheeks.

“Uhh, about that… I really haven’t given much thought to who I wanted to ask” Ino admitted with an awkward laugh following it.

“Ino you know you shouldn’t spend so much time worrying about a dress if you don’t even have a date” Sakura declared

“Sakura’s right Ino” Temari agreed

“Do you have anyone you’d like to ask?” Tenten questioned

“Uhh well actually I was thinking about asking Shikamaru” Ino said unsure

Temari’s eyes widened and she narrowed her eyes a little then looked at Ino.

“I’m sorry Ino… I um… actually already asked Shikamaru”

“Oh really, and he said yes?” Temari nodded and Ino sighed lightly

“I guess Shikamaru is off my list”

“Well what guys are available?” Sakura asked

They all stood there thinking then Hinata put her finger in the air and said:

“I think Neji, Sasuke, Sai, Kiba, and Naruto are all available”

Tenten blushed, at first she shied away and then she placed her hands on her cheeks and smiled looking at the girls.

“Scratch Neji off the list, I already asked him”

“Oh well okay so that leaves Sasuke, Sai, Kiba and Naruto” Temari confirmed

“I will ask Sasuke-kun then I didn’t know he was available”

“That’s shocking I thought Sasuke would have had a bunch of fan girls ask him” Tenten stated

“I heard from Shikamaru that Sasuke and Naruto have both been rejecting from left to right.” Temari added

“They must not want to go to prom” Ino sighed

“Or they’re just waiting for the right girl” Sakura giggled

As the girls were talking and giggling to each other, Sasuke, Kiba and Naruto were walking towards the gate.

“I don’t care I’m not going to prom! I hate school dances they’re always so crowded” Naruto growled to his friends.

“Why not it’s a once in a life time thing you can’t just not go. What if Sakura asked you? Would you go then?” Kiba asked

“Sakura-chan?” Naruto blushed slightly, concealed a smile, and then got all puffy. “yeah right like she’d ever ask me. She’s probably waiting to ask boring mc boring pants!” Naruto sighed in frustration

Sasuke looked at Naruto and pointed at him causing Naruto to look up at him puzzled. Sasuke glared at Naruto then began

“Sakura will ask me and when she does I will say yes so don’t get in my way Naruto” Sasuke demanded

“What the hell Sasuke! Who made you the boss of me?!” Naruto shouted

“Naruto, Sakura has always liked me. You never had a chance!”

“Harsh Sasuke” Kiba whispered

Naruto widened his eyes a little then quickly dropped them to his feet.

“Hey Ino! Here’s your chance Sasuke is coming this way!” The girls nudged her.

“Okay, okay I’m going, I’m going” Ino blushed as she walked up to Sasuke stopping them from walking any further.

“What is it Ino” Sasuke asked intimidatingly

“I…” Ino hesitated as a bigger blushed appeared on her face

“I don’t have all day” Sasuke glared

Ino narrowed her eyes and wondered why she was even attempting to ask the rudest man in school. Just as she was about to ask Sasuke, Sai walked by and smiled at her. Ino looked at him confused for a second but then smiled back. She then glanced at Sasuke shook her head to him and ran to Sai.

“Hello Ino” Sai said gently

“H-Hi”

Sasuke looked at Ino confused then started walking to Naruto and Kiba who were talking to Sakura and Hinata. Temari and Tenten had left due to their prom date walking by.

“Sakura-chan thanks for helping me study for the test we had today”

“Sure Naruto, I’m glad you managed to get a C+”

“Well I did have the best tutor”
When Sasuke reached Naruto and Kiba, Naruto stopped talking and before he started to walk away he glared at Sasuke. Sakura reached out her hand but before she could say anything Sasuke was towered over her.

“Uh what is it Sasuke?” Sakura asked as she stepped back a foot, trying to look pass him.

“Sakura is there anything you want to ask me?”

“Um... No?” Sakura looked at him confused which made Sasuke frown.

“Nothing at all? No you know, homework questions, school papers, or dates?”

“Um, okay I have one actually.”

Sasuke concealed a smirk then stood taller and looked down at her.

“Why are you standing so close?” Sakura asked as she quickly walked around him and ran after Naruto who was almost out of sight. Hinata and Kiba looked at each other then smiled and walked away from Sasuke who clenched his fist tight.

“Kiba-kun?” Hinata began quietly

“Yeah Hinata?”

“I was wondering… I mean if you’re not doing anything… w-would you like to go to prom with me?”

Kiba blushed, caught off guard from her question.

“O-Oh, um am I your last resort? Because I always thought you’d ask Naruto”

“N-No! Yes I’ve liked N-Naruto-kun for a while. In t-that time I realized that Sakura had also come to care about him as well and because Naruto likes Sakura so much I-I thought I’d just let him be happy. There is no reason in making drama over something like that. B-Besides I’ve also noticed by slowly pulling away from Naruto, m-many doors opened up for me and I would just like to try going through one. S-So what do you say. Do you w-wanna go to prom with me Kiba-kun

Kiba smirked and gazed at Hinata.

“Well when you put it like that, I’d be glad to go with you. Thanks for giving me a chance Hinata” Kiba chuckled.

Sakura ran after Naruto and when she finally caught up to him she grabbed the back of his sweater causing him to quickly stop and turn around.

“Sakura-chan? Uh what’s up” Naruto said a little surprised

“Are you going home?”

“No I’m not”

“Then where are you going?”

“I was just going to walk around a while clear my head”

“May I join you?”

“Umm sure Sakura-chan”

Sakura smiled then they walked side by side. They talked about school, trips, adventures and other random things. Without realizing it they both had walked through the entire village at least 5 times really enjoying each other’s companionship. When Naruto and Sakura stopped in a park, they had realized that it was already sunset.

“Wow I can’t believe it’s so late” Naruto stated.

“Yeah I know it’s crazy but regardless I had fun walking and talking with you”

“Oh you did? He said scratching his cheek bone

Sakura’s cheeks lit up pink and she stepped closer to Naruto making him drop his hands to his sides and tense up and freezing in his spot just gazing at her

“Yeah I feel like it’s gotten us closer and I should tell you something that I’ve wanted to say for a long time”

“W-What is it?”

Birds flew by the warm sky as the wind picked up and blew in Sakura’s face causing her hair to blow to the side. As she prevented it from covering her face Sakura watched as the cool breeze had flown gracefully through Naruto’s hair. Sakura then softened her eyes and stared into his sapphire eyes.

“N-Naruto... I… I love you. D-Do you want to go to prom with me?”

Naruto flinched a little then his eyes widened and his heart sank and started to race.
“Y-You… Wh…What?” Naruto hesitated nervously while a heavy blush lit up his cheeks

“Naruto… I-”

“P-Ple…Please. Don’t say it again! I-I can’t Sakura-chan I’m sorry” Naruto bit his lip and shut his eyes for a second before trying to walk away

“W-Wait a minute N-Naruto…” Sakura hesitated as her heart started to sink to her stomach

Naruto stopped but didn’t turn around

“Do-?”

“Don’t make this any harder than it already is Sakura-chan… just accept… I said no” Naruto interrupted her then clenched his fist tight before walking away

Sakura swallowed hard almost forgetting how to breath, she felt her heart sink to the lowest part of her stomach. Confused by what happened she looked at the ground hard wondering if she did something to upset Naruto. She took a deep breath then stepped forward in attempt to follow him but she was frozen in her spot as much as she wanted to follow him her body wouldn’t obey commands so she could only watch as he disappeared.

“Naruto…” She managed to mumble when he was out of sight.

The next day Sakura was hanging out with Hinata, Tenten and Ino, they were shopping for dresses. While Ino, Hinata and Tenten where going crazy trying on dresses, Sakura was sitting alone in the distant zoned out, still upset about Naruto she didn’t really feel worthy of going to prom anymore. When Ino came out of the dressing room she notice Sakura hasn’t tried on any of the dresses they picked out.

“Hey are you alright” Ino asked as she sat next to her

“Uh oh Ino? When did you get there? Sorry I was just thinking about something”

“It must be really bothering you. You were completely zoned out”

“It’s nothing you need to be concerned about Ino. I will deal with it”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes”

“Well, alright why don’t you try on your dresses? I was thinking how we could do your hair for prom and-”

“I don’t think I’m going to prom”

“What!? Whoa Whoa what do you mean not going?!”

“It’s just I don’t have a date”

“I thought you were going to ask the guy you’ve been talking about”

“Yeah… he didn’t seem interested I was rejected”

“What? Rejected?”

“I totally wasn’t expecting it”

“Tsk who is this mystery guy who rejected you anyway?”

“Well… I guess I can tell you”

“Spill girl”

“It was… Naruto”

Ino’s mouth dropped and she almost fell out of the chair

“NARUTO?!” She shouted

“Shhh Ino, don’t shout”

Hinata and Tenten walk out of the changing room concerned.

“what happened why’d you yell?” Tenten asked

“Girls, Girls can you believe it!! Naruto has rejected Sakura!”

“WHAT? Naruto?!” They both shouted in shock

“Hey please don’t shout!” Sakura said depressed

“Sorry Sakura it’s just I’d never imagine Naruto rejecting you! He liked you for like 3 years now” Tenten stated

“That is a surprise Kiba told me that Naruto didn’t want to go to prom because he’s not good in crowds, but he said Naruto would have jumped at the opportunity if you asked him Sakura” Hinata added

“Well apparently he changed his mind. He flat out rejected me and acting so cold” Sakura sighed and stared at her feet.

“Don’t be so depressed about it Sakura, There has to be a reason he did what he did.”

“Yeah why don’t you talk to him?” Ino suggested

“I really don’t think he wants to see me right now… besides prom is tomorrow”

“Well you have to go to prom we’ve been talking about this for months! Why don’t you just find a new date” Ino asked

“I really did just want to go with Naruto… I guess just for prom night but who could I ask on such short notice?” Sakura asked

“Sasuke is still free go ask him”

“Well alright then could you girls buy me a dress Ino you know my size and style right?”

“Sure do what are best friends for, just hurry and find Sasuke”

20 minutes later Sakura was walking through the streets until she was in front of the Uchiha area. She looked around before slowly walking through it when suddenly she got tapped on the shoulder. Sakura squealed and quickly turned around to see none other than the person she came to find. Sasuke smirked at Sakura’s fear then he got serious.

“Why are you here Sakura?”

“Oh S-Sasuke, Hey… I um just came to ask you something”

“Well hurry up and tell me Sakura”

“W-Will um… you go… to prom with me?”

Sasuke smiled and closed his obsidian eyes then opened them to look at her.

“I thought you’d never ask”

Sakura was surprised at his reaction then smiled


“Wow! Really okay then I will see you tomorrow at 7!”


“I will be there”


“Okay bye Sasuke” Sakura smiled then left

“Hehe soon my little Sakura… Soon you will be mine and I will restore this clan weather you want to or not”

The day of prom the girls just finished getting ready and they’re all waiting for their dates. Hinata was wearing a silky smooth purple dress that sparkled, not too much cleavage showing. Her hair was curled and she put mascara on. Ino was wearing a black tight dress with white laces on the hems, she really showed off her cleavage. Ino’s hair was down and she has eye liner mascara and lipstick on. Tamari was simply in a white dress making her look more like a bride than a prom girl, Temari had a medium amount of cleavage showing and her hair was the usual four pony tails and some make-up. Tenten wore a short pink dress that showed off more leg then necessary, her dress was strapless so her whole neck was visible, her hair was half up half down and she had eye liner and lipstick on. Finally Sakura she wore an elegant red silky dress that fit her body just right giving her a curvier look. Sakura’s hair was the usual down with a ribbon in it but this ribbon had a flower attached. Sakura had no cleavage and she wore no make-up. About 5 minutes after they all finished getting ready the guys showed up and they all headed to prom.

Half an hour into the prom everyone was dancing and having a wonderful time. All but Sakura, when she was dancing with Sasuke, he would always try to feel her up and grab her in the wrong areas which would piss her off. Sakura eventually got so irritated at Sasuke she pulled away from them dancing and glared at him before walking to an empty table to sit down. It didn’t take long for Sasuke to find a new girl to start grinding up on which annoyed Sakura even more. And she officially declared this the worst prom experience ever. Sakura rested her elbow on the table and then rested her head on her hand using her elbow for support. Sakura watched her friends laugh and dance. The rose haired girl sighed lowly and started thinking to herself.

‘I wonder what Naruto is doing. Could he be having fun by himself? No… It’s never fun being alone. Maybe I should try to find Naruto and talk to him. Being with him would be better than being at this dumb place. *sigh* I can’t believe he rejected me… I actually start to have feeling for the idiot and he goes and tells me no…I feel so broken…Is this how Naruto felt all this time by my rejections? Maybe I deserve this… I think I’m just going to go home”

Sakura stands to her feet and grabs the small purse she brought with her. Then looks at the door before she could make her way towards it, her breath was taken and she froze. She gazed at the blonde spiky haired man who walked in, he was dressed in a tux and looking around anxiously as if he lost something. Sakura sighed to herself when she saw five different girls cling to him as if Naruto was there for them, and the way Naruto was smiling at them Sakura started to believe that’s why he rejected her in the first place. Sakura tried to avert her eyes however for some reason she couldn’t redirect her attention no matter how hard she tried. Then with a sudden direct glance in Sakura’s direction, he found her and his eyes lit up. He pushed all the girls away and just gazed at her. Sakura couldn’t help the sinking feeling in her chest when she and Naruto finally locked eyes, her body started to shake and she started to sweat. Sakura’s heart started to race faster and faster as Naruto got closer, and when he was a couple of feet away all Sakura could do was stare. Her tongue became dry and she couldn’t even bring herself to say his name or even a hello, but he didn’t mind because right now he wanted the chance to talk.

“I’m sorry I’m late Sakura-chan” he began

Naruto’s deep voice echoed in Sakura’s mind and sent chills through her spine. At this moment Kiba, Hinata, Sai, Ino, Tenten, Neji, Temari, Shikamaru and Sasuke have all gathered around Naruto and Sakura, shocked to see Naruto.

“Listen… I came here to apologize. I know I was in the wrong for telling you I didn’t want to come here. The truth is you’re the only girl I’d ever want to come here with. But I said no because I was a coward of my feelings for you. I knew you liked Sasuke and I thought you wanted to ask him, and he made it very clear to me that he wanted to go with you as well. I was so focused on thinking about others happiness I wasn’t thinking about my own, my happiness lies with you Sakura-chan and if I let you go with another guy… I don’t think I will ever be happy again. I’ve never had anyone make me feel this way. Since the day that we met my heart was sure it wanted to be with you. It has always been you Sakura-chan. You’re the one I want to give you the whole world too and without you around I’m so lost and confused. So… can you forgive me for being an idiot?”

Sakura’s eyes filled with tears, her mouth was covered by her left hand while her right one was gripping on her dress above her heart. Tears began to fall from her eyes and she looked at her friends who were all smiling at her. Naruto reached out his hand for Sakura to grab. Sakura let go of her dress and moved her hand from her mouth and she gazed at Naruto. Slowly she reached out her hand and before she grabbed Naruto’s she quickly pulled back causing Naruto to lift and eye brow and all her friend’s smiles to disappear.

“What am I supposed to forgive you that easily?” Sakura began

“Sakura-chan…”

Sakura smiled and ran into Naruto’s arms and gave him a warm embrace. Puzzled by the sudden embrace Naruto was forced to step back a little before wrapping his arms around Sakura’s small body. Sakura then stepped back whipped her tears and then put a finger in front of her face.

“I have conditions! 1 you must treat me to dinner every night for the rest of this month”

“U-Uh sure Sakura-chan”

“2 you have to buy me 3 impressive presents that’s not food for once”

Naruto dangled his hands down below his waste as anime tears tell from his eyes he squinted up at Sakura and complained

“What is up with you and my money Sakura-chan”

“And 3rd”

“Oh god there is a 3rd one!? I’m gonna go bankrupt”

Sakura walks closer to Naruto and slowly inches closer until their lips come together in a passionate kiss. Ino squeals and cheers for Sakura while everyone else just smiled for their friends all but Sasuke who stormed off. As Sakura’s kiss got hungrier Naruto blushed and straightened up and kissed back with more passion. Naruto and Sakura’s body went numb from the kiss and they felt as if they were the only two that mattered. Everything else was just moving in slow motion. When Sakura pulled away she smiled gently making then both blush more.

“My final condition, Naruto-kun you can’t ever leave my side and you have to be my all, one and only.”

Naruto’s sapphire eyes lit up and sparkled in sync to Sakura’s emerald green eyes. Gazing lovingly at one another they both smiled and Naruto placed a hand over her cheek and rubbed this thumb up and down her cheek bone then he gently placed his forehead against hers.

“Sakura-chan… I’ve always been by your side, even when you didn’t notice it I was always there. I will never let you go you have my word.”

“I love you Naruto” she smiled as tears prickled again

Naruto’s eyes widened a bit at the words but quickly soften and he smiles his big goofy smiled

“I… I love you too” Naruto said as his eyes filled with tears.

“What’s the matter?”

Naruto whipped his eyes and smiled

“I-It’s nothing just… I’ve wanted to tell you I loved you for the longest time. I’ve never said I love you to anyone but a simple bowl of Ramen, but here I am… standing in front of the girl I love saying that I love you. I never imagined this day would happen.

Sakura smiled and placed a hand over her his cheek causing him to stare into her eyes.

“Naruto-kun you can tell me you love me whenever want. I will say it back and I will never let you be alone again”

Naruto’s eyes prickled with tears again he smiled and wrapped his arms around Sakura. Hinata, Ino, Tenten, and Temari giggled and they went back to dancing with their dates. When Naruto pulled away he looked around the crowd and suddenly started to get a little nervous.

“Do you want to go Naruto?” Sakura asked

“No, you should enjoy prom we can stay a while”

“Naruto, because you came this was the best prom. But honestly I don’t want to stay if you don’t I just want to be with you tonight”

Naruto smiled at Sakura and nodded. They both walked out of prom and walked through the village until they were in front of Sakura’s house.

“Do you want to come in Naruto?”

“Um well I du-”

“My parents aren’t home so we’d have the whole house to ourselves” Sakura said seductively as she used her index finger to run it up Naruto’s chest giving him the chills.

Naruto smirked and lifted Sakura bridal style and walked into Sakura’s house and hurried into Sakura’s room closing the door behind them.
